Tahoma Vivian dahlias deliver striking 4-inch flame orange blooms with the refined geometry of formal decorative petals. These vigorous plants reach approximately 4 feet in height, making them ideal for mid-border placement or as focal points in mixed plantings. The rich, warm orange coloring provides excellent contrast in garden compositions and performs reliably throughout the season. Perfect for cut flower arrangements and garden display alike.
How To Plant Dahlias
To get your dahlias started, pick a sunny spot with soil that drains well. Dig a hole, lay the tuber flat, and cover it with soil about 3 inches deep. Hold off on watering for now. Once you spot some sprouts and a few leaves, it’s time to water, but keep it gentle to prevent root rot. It’s a smart to put the stake next to the tuber at the same time of planting, so you don’t accidentally damage it later on.
As the season goes on, give your dahlias some love with fertilizer and insect sprays to help them bloom beautifully and grow strong. In the fall, dig up the roots and store them over winter.
