Moor Place is a striking Mini Ball dahlia prized for its deep purple blooms and compact flower size. Each flower reaches just 2 inches across, making it ideal for arrangements and garden displays where delicate proportions matter. The plant achieves a substantial 3.5-foot height, providing excellent structure and presence in the landscape. This variety combines the refined elegance of miniature blooms with the architectural strength of a full-sized plant, offering growers a versatile option for both cutting gardens and ornamental plantings.
How To Plant Dahlias
To get your dahlias started, pick a sunny spot with soil that drains well. Dig a hole, lay the tuber flat, and cover it with soil about 3 inches deep. Hold off on watering for now. Once you spot some sprouts and a few leaves, it’s time to water, but keep it gentle to prevent root rot. It’s a smart to put the stake next to the tuber at the same time of planting, so you don’t accidentally damage it later on.
As the season goes on, give your dahlias some love with fertilizer and insect sprays to help them bloom beautifully and grow strong. In the fall, dig up the roots and store them over winter.
